Monty Panesar and Dr & Professor Kuldipak Marwaha - Studied at the Same University and became friends for life

A LIFELONG FRIENDSHIP – MONTY PANESAR & DR & PROFESSOR KULDIPAK MARWAHA

I had the wonderful privilege of studying alongside Monty Panesar, the renowned former England international cricketer, at Loughborough University, where our friendship began in 2003.

Beyond our academic commitments, we also spent memorable moments practising cricket together at the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) facilities at Loughborough University, sharing our passion for the sport and developing a friendship built on mutual respect, dedication and ambition.

Monty successfully completed his studies in 2005, whilst I continued my academic journey, completing my programme in 2007.

Although our professional journeys took different directions, with Monty achieving international recognition in cricket and myself pursuing leadership, education and global development, our friendship has remained a treasured part of our lives.

From university classrooms to cricket practice sessions, and from Loughborough to the international stage – a remarkable friendship that began in 2003 and has lasted a lifetime.
